It was an honour to do my last service at the Station, entraining the OMV. It was surprising how many of them I had come in contact with and got to know during the week. They left at midday, a train journey that could take some of them up to 30 hours. Thinking of those who will get back home after I get home to York on the TGV next day! Grateful to see their highly efficient organisation and logistics, which means it should not be too uncomfortable for them.
Many other farewells to the group and people from all over the world who have done service with me over the last week. Farewell to Didier and the Brancs and of course to Our Lady in the Grotto at midnight.
So grateful to have had the opportunity to be here again. It was a tough week, tougher than expected both physically and emotionally. I would not have missed it for anything. Next year in Lourdes (well actually in about three weeks time).
A Gratitude Journal is just a simple way of
recording and appreciating the good things in life.
Research shows that keeping a gratitude journal leads to
higher levels of alertness, happiness and positive emotions as well as
a stronger immune system, lower blood pressure and better sleep.
