three good things
Candles in the wind
I am grateful to have found time during two full sessions in the baths to cross the river and light candles for the family
Amused and slightly surprised that you can now buy your candles using contactless! High tech meets high spirituality? Not too sure about this, but grateful to the authorities for making it easy.
Grateful to our Responsable, who allowed the four of us in our Equipe from Ampleforth to stand down this evening from service on the Marian Torchlight procession to join the rest of the group for dinner in the Casa Italia. It is a real pleasure and privilege to be part of this passionate group of 20 or so and to be with them for an evening of laughter and intelligent conversation ranging through neuroscience, ley lines, food and drink, mythology, the power of stories, theology and a bit of politics (not too much of that). Followed by a shot tour of some of the town’s bars…
A Gratitude Journal is just a simple way of
recording and appreciating the good things in life.
Research shows that keeping a gratitude journal leads to
higher levels of alertness, happiness and positive emotions as well as
a stronger immune system, lower blood pressure and better sleep.
